Spinach Omelet

Hi everyone! Here is another omelet recipe for you. I like to use seasonal vegetables and fruits in my diet and now that spring has come, spinach is in abundance in Armenia. You can find fresh, vibrant green spinach bunches everywhere in farmers' markets and supermarkets. Spinach omelet is one of my favorite omelet recipes. It is not only delicious but it also has a high nourishing value. Among the world's healthiest vegetables spinach is at the top of ranking list for nutrient richness. It is rich in vitamins and minerals and antioxidants.
Here is the picture of the ready product!!! Looks lovely, don't you think so?!!! :) :) :)

Now let's talk about the recipe! Here are the ingredients for the spinach omelet:

  • spinach (2 big bunches)
  • medium range 4 eggs
  • vegetable oil (1 full tablespoon)
  • salt (to your taste)
  • black pepper (1/3 teaspoon)
  • paprika (1 teaspoon)
  • chili (I'm using just a pinch, you can use more if you want )

  • As you can see I have already thoroughly washed the spinach and cut it in big chunks. When we steam this huge bowl of spinach it'll become much less, I promise :)
  • Take a big pan, put it on a medium heat, drizzle it with vegetable oil and add the spinach leafs. Cover the pan with a lid and let it steam for about 8-10 minutes.

  • When the spinach is already half cooked season it with salt, paprika and chili. Stir the spinach and let it steam for another couple of minutes. Meanwhile beat the eggs with a fork or a whisker with a pinch of salt.

  • Add the beaten eggs to the spinach and let it cook for 5 minutes.
  • Let the omelet cool a little, then cut it into pieces and serve. Here is the picture of the ready product, my plate of spinach omelet with roasted potatoes as a side dish and a little bit of ketchup!!!

I hope you enjoyed this omelet recipe! Have a nice day. Bye!!!

!!! Happy Birthday, My Cute Little Angel !!!

Today is my little angel's birthday and  decided to write a post about it and share it with you. I hope you don't mind! :)
Two years ago this day, on the 28th of March, at 10:45 a.m. my tiny and adorable baby boy was born. That day will always remain in my mind as the happiest day of my entire life. The second I saw him for the first time the whole world changed for me. I became more mature, more responsible, more careful in my choices and decisions. My cute little angel became the center of my Universe. Time goes by so fast and  try my hardest to appreciate and enjoy every minute passed together with him. Sometimes I have the feeling that those magnificent moments of his birth took place just yesterday. Of course, when I look back I acknowledge that there were moments I felt miserable and over-exhausted but I don't even remember them now. The power of human mind, our brain, is perfectly constructed. It is amazing how quick our powerful mind can erase hard memories from our mind.
Today my son, Karen, is a super active, healthy and happy toddler (and I'll add, quite a naughty boy :) :) :) and  I am so grateful to the God for the blessing of being a mum to my amazing playful boy! As far as I am alive, I'll pray to the God every single day to give him good health and happy life and to help him make the best decisions in his life. And I'll try my best to bring him up in the best possible way I can, pass him my skills and knowledge and be a support for him in all his endeavors.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MY CUTE, LITTLE ANGEL!!!  You are my eternal source of inspiration!!!

Homemade Facial Mask with Oat-Flakes and Honey

Hello everyone! Today I decided to talk to you about one of my favorite homemade facial mask. I chose this mask because I can really see a difference after applying it on my face comparing to some other masks which don't seem to do much difference.
Sometimes when I put my son to bed for the night I get a little bit of spare time to pamper myself (especially after a hard day when I really want to have some "me time", I usually don't get another opportunity during the day :)). That doesn't happen often, because I am usually busy with doing different chores around the house at night :) :) :). But anyway, yesterday I had a pampering time and decided to share it with you. I made this mask, put it on my face and while waiting the 20 minutes had a wonderful cup of tea, and felt much better about myself :) :) :)

After applying this mask I usually immediately see a difference. My skin brightens up a lot, it becomes more soft and smooth. My skin feels refreshed and rejuvenated. It also helps to heel and sooth your skin if you have skin irritation. But before you put this mask on to your skin make sure you are not allergic to honey. If you have long hair like me put your hair up in a ponytail or in a bun. because it can be a little bit messy :) :) :) Before applying the mask take off your make up and wash your skin thoroughly with your favorite cleanser so that your skin absorb  the nutrients from the mask as well as possible.
Now let's make the mask with oat-flakes, honey and milk. These are all the ingredients you need:

How to Make Plain Ice-Cream Taste Even Better

Hi everybody! First of all, I want to thank you all for visiting my blog, if you have any questions or suggestions leave a comment in the comment section below. I appreciate all your opinions! :) :) :) Today I decided to share my ideas about ice-cream, how make plain ice-cream taste even better and how to consume less calories but twice much pleasure. As for me I don't like plain ice-cream by itself. When I eat ice-cream I try to make it special  and look appetizing. On the other side, I adore fruits and berries, so I combine them together and get a perfect combination of taste to my palate. Besides, you get a huge bowl of  "ice-cream", I have better call it a dessert, but consume much less calories.  If you are someone like me you will like this idea!
Here is a picture of one of my favorite combinations of ice-cream and fruits. As you can see I have put one scoop of ice-cream and a whole bunch of raspberries, cut strawberries and slices of banana. You get a huge bowl of deliciousness and less calories.

Here is another picture of vanilla ice-cream with raspberries. Can you believe there is only one small scoop of ice-cream?! Subconsciously you will believe you  have eaten a whole portion of delicious ice-cream!

Chocolate ice-cream also tastes great with bananas and berries (especially strawberries and raspberries). You can also add nuts if you like such as almonds. cashew nuts, pistachio nuts, etc.
I hope you liked this post, if you have any ideas feel free to leave a comment below! Have a good day! Bye! :) :) :)

Hi everyone! :) Today the weather was quite gloomy and wet, so I decided to prepare something soothing, but, of course, delicious. I chose to cook some palatable and comforting cream-soup with yellow peas and potatoes. As always, it turned out very delicious and I decided to share it with you.

  • 1 teaspoon of dried basil (I couldn't find fresh, you could freely use some fresh basil)
  • 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper

How to Clean a Greasy Baking Sheet without Harsh Chemicals

After cooking the roasted potato and Chicken recipe, as always, I faced the problem of cleaning the greasy baking sheet. It can be quite a hard and unpleasant chore to do, if you don't know a few tricks. First of all I recommend you to wash your baking sheet as soon as you have done with cooking. But if you have forgotten for some reason that's not a big deal. This trick will help you too.

This is how I deal with my greasy baking sheets.
  • Sprinkle about 1 tablespoon of baking soda on to the sheet, then pour about 100 ml vinegar and water enough to cover the baking sheet.

  • Put the baking sheet on the heat and boil the water in it.

  • Let it boil for 1 or 2 minutes. When the sheet cools down a little bit wash it under hot water with dish-washing liquid.
  • This is the final result. :)

I hope you like this easy trick of cleaning the greasy baking sheets or any other dirty pots and pans!!! Have a nice day. Bye! :) :) :)

Today I decided to put a picture of me making preparations to cook my favorite roasted potato and chicken recipe. :) :) :)

Now lets talk about the ingredients for the recipe:

  • potatoes (I'm using about 1,5 kg without peeling, you can peel them, of course, if you like)
  • chicken (I'm using chicken thighs, you can use any parts of the chicken you like: wings, breasts, a whole chicken chopped into pieces)
  • garlic (4 cloves)
  • vegetable oil (olive oil if you like)
  • salt (to your taste)
  • black and red peppers (I'm using 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper and 1 teaspoon red pepper)
  • concoction of spices (suneli, chaman). I couldn't find the exact names of the spices I'm using. As an equivalent to this concoction of spices you can use the following spices: onion and garlic powders, paprika, chili  and ginger powder.

Oat-Flakes with Greek Yogurt, Raspberries, Bananas and Cashew Nuts

Hi everyone! Here I'm sharing my favorite oatmeal recipe. I can eat this breakfast every single day for the rest of my life and never get tired of it! This is quite a versatile recipe. You can change the berries or the nuts to your liking and each time you will get another delicious and flavorful breakfast as a great start of your day. In this particular recipe I'm using raspberries and cashews but you can use a combination of various fruits, berries and nuts, such as peaches, apricots, grapes, apples, plums, bananas, strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, almonds, walnuts, hazelnuts and so on. I also like the combination of peaches, apples and raisins too.
The permanent ingredients of this recipe are the oat-flakes and the Greek yogurt. The fruits, the berries and the nuts can be changed according to the season.
In this recipe I am using:
  • oat-flakes (2 tablespoon)
  • Greek yogurt (150 ml)
  • honey to sweeten the yogurt (1 teaspoon). If you are allergic to honey you can substitute it with granulated sugar or even escape it thoroughly. The taste won't suffer either way.
  • raspberries (as much as you like, I'm using a handful)
  • banana (half of a banana will be enough)
  • cashew nuts (1 tablespoon, or as much as you like)

Tis is a very easy recipe. You don't have to cook anything. All you have to do is to pour the Greek yogurt into a bowl, sweeten it with honey or sugar (you can totally escape this part if you don't like it) and add the oat-flakes. Stir it. Then add the banana slices, raspberries and chopped cashew nuts.
Voila! Your breakfast is ready!!! Yum!!!

I hope you will enjoy this recipe as much as  do. Have a good day! *** :) ***

Potato and Carrot Frittata (Omelet)

Hi everyone! Here is another very simple recipe for you. I made this recipe today for lunch  and all my family members liked it a lot. It will make a perfect Sunday breakfast or an everyday lunch.

Here are the ingredients for the frittata (omelet).
  • 4 medium size potatoes cubbed in a medium size.
  • 2 medium carrots
  • 3 average range eggs
  • coriander
  • 2 cloves of garlic (if you don't like the taste of garlic you can freely use an onion, it'll substitute it perfectly)
  • salt (to your taste)
  • black pepper (a pinch)
  •  paprika (1 teaspoon)
  • vegetable oil (about 2 tablespoon)
Here I have prepared my ingredients. As you can see I have already cubbed the potatoes and the carrots. The cloves of garlic and the coriander are finely chopped and ready for use.

  1. First thing you should do is to preheat your pan on a medium heat. Drizzle the vegetable oil into it, then add the potatoes and the carrots.

  1. Let them cook and roast under the lid for about 5 minutes.
  • Then open the lid give it a good stir. Let them cook for another 5 minutes. (I recommend you to lower the heat under the pan before stirring so that the oil wouldn't jump all around the kitchen and even burn your fingers).
  • Then add the chopped garlic, salt, black pepper and paprika. Stir it again let them roast for another few minutes. Be careful not to burn the garlic, it has a tendency to get burnt very easily. If you don't like garlic for some reason you can easily change it with chopped onion, it will give a very good flavor to the omelet. My husband doesn't like sauteed onions, that's why I don't use onions in my recipes.

  • Meanwhile whisk the eggs and add a pinch of salt to it.

  • Pour the beaten eggs into the pan and let the omelet cook thoroughly under the lid.

  • After a few minutes the omelet is ready. Sprinkle the omelet with coriander, cut it into pieces and serve it. Have a good appetite!

Crispy and Fresh Lettuce Salad with Grapefruit

Hello everyone!!! Today I decided to share an easy but quite delicious salad recipe with you. The salad comprises very few ingredients, but it will surprise you with its flavorful taste and crunchy texture. In general,  I don't follow any particular salad or dish recipe. Everything I make are just pure improvisations. Today I decided to make this salad just because I found these ingredients in my fridge and in the pantry. I hope you will enjoy it as much as I have done.

All you need are:
  1. cabbage 150 g (gram)( I am using red cabbage without any particular reason, but you can use any kind you want, white cabbage will do just as well)
  2. carrots 2 medium size, 150 g
  3. red onion (half of a medium onion is more than enough)
  4. lettuce (I'm using a bunch)
  5. coriander (a small bunch will be enough)
  6. grapefruit (a half of it is quite enough, if you choose to use more I'm afraid the salad will taste too bitter and sour. If you don't mind it then go ahead and use a whole grapefruit.
  7. black and red pepper (as much as you like, I am using a pinch of black pepper and half of a teaspoon of red pepper)
  8. salt ( to your taste)
  9. olive oil or any particular vegetable oil you like (2 tablespoon)
Now I will show you step by step how to make the salad.
