Roasted Potatoes with Spicy Chicken

Hi everyone! Here is another delicious recipe! You can prepare it for different occasions and, I can say for sure, everyone from adults to kids will love it. Who doesn't like roasted potatoes and chicken? :) Right? :)
Today I decided to put a picture of me making preparations to cook my favorite roasted potato and chicken recipe. :) :) :)

Now lets talk about the ingredients for the recipe:

  • potatoes (I'm using about 1,5 kg without peeling, you can peel them, of course, if you like)
  • chicken (I'm using chicken thighs, you can use any parts of the chicken you like: wings, breasts, a whole chicken chopped into pieces)
  • garlic (4 cloves)
  • vegetable oil (olive oil if you like)
  • salt (to your taste)
  • black and red peppers (I'm using 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper and 1 teaspoon red pepper)
  • concoction of spices (suneli, chaman). I couldn't find the exact names of the spices I'm using. As an equivalent to this concoction of spices you can use the following spices: onion and garlic powders, paprika, chili  and ginger powder.
Let's start cooking step by step. :)

  • The first thing you should do is to marinade the chicken. Crash the garlic cloves with a garlic press and add to the chicken. Then add 1 tablespoon of oil, salt, red and black peppers and the other spices to the chicken and stir it thoroughly. Close the bowl and put it into the fridge for at least an hour. You can also marinade the chicken the night before.

  • Wash the potatoes thoroughly under the warm tap water and give it a good scrub.
  • Cut the potatoes in half. Slightly cut the potatoes across diagonally and vertically (not up th the end just slightly) so that the potatoes cook easily.

  • Add salt, peppers and 1 or 2 tablespoon of vegetable oil and give it a good stir.

  • Preheat your oven up to 200°C. Take the marinated chicken out of the fridge and place it on a baking sheet together with potatoes like this. And put it in the oven for about half an hour.

  • After about half an hour check if the potatoes and the chicken are already half cooked. Turn them into the other side and cook them for another half an hour.

  • After cooking for an entire hour or a little bit more the potatoes and the chicken should be done and roasted perfectly. If you want to double check if the chicken is cooked thoroughly just take a piece of chicken and cut it. There shouldn't be any blood or pink signs. The meat should be white.

  • After you make sure the chicken is ready, take them out and let them rest for about 10 minutes. Then place them in a plate and serve them.
  • This is how I served my plate with a little of ketchup and salad in the side.

I hope you enjoyed my recipe of roasted potatoes and spicy chicken. :) :) :)
